My wife and I loved the Bud Ice Light, it was great while out on our boat in the hot summer sun. We both hate the micro-beers strained through an old tee shirt with chunks in them. I have no need to force myself to choke down the taste of a strong beer trying to impress idiots in tweed jackets with patches on the elbow.

Re: How Depressing… Bud Select 55 Calorie Beer

I love the Bud select 55 I also love Bud Light. Try having a regular beer or 2 when you drink it if you are looking for a buzz.... But lets face the majority of the time we are drinking to be social.

Re: How Depressing… Bud Select 55 Calorie Beer

I HAVE BEEN DRINKING BUD SELECT 55 SINCE JAN 2010 INSTEAD OF BUD AND WITH SOME GREAT REWARDS BECAUSE I LOST 45.5 LBS.

Re: How Depressing… Bud Select 55 Calorie Beer

haha, the "waste" line, i get it

Re: How Depressing… Bud Select 55 Calorie Beer

All you beer connoisseurs can just shove it! Every beer dosen't have to taste like German beer!

Water this.. and water that... who gives a flip what you think? If you don't like it, don't drink it... find something else and quit spewing off like as if your tatse buds determine what makes a great beer! Your taste buds suit you just fine... they're not mine and I'm glad! Your taste for beer is different than mine!

Not everybody likes the strong beer tasting beer! I prefer Bud Ice Light and they've cancelled making it. So I'm frustrated and hating the world right now!

Re: How Depressing… Bud Select 55 Calorie Beer

My husband and I tried it.....great taste, refreshing and great for the waste line....

Re: How Depressing… Bud Select 55 Calorie Beer

It's another marketing gimmick by South Africa's Budweiser (yes, it's not american anymore). Sales are plunging for their regular beers, so why not try something different. I simply don't get it. With 2.4% abv, you have to drink twice as much to feel the effects. If you don't intend on getting drunk, i guess this is a good choice.

Re: How Depressing… Bud Select 55 Calorie Beer

Worst beer I've ever tasted. Sorry I don't care how many calories it is a beer is a beer. This beer is pretty good for the calorie intake. If you don't like it don't drink it. It's not for everyone but they are trying to market for more than one person and with as many people out there that are counting calories or some kind of diet this is a great option. So if you don't like it don't drink. Not everyone is going to like everything.

Re: How Depressing… Bud Select 55 Calorie Beer

not everyone can go for a walk. I like a beer. I'm in a wheelchair so exercise is difficult and keeping weight down is difficult so I have to make sacrifices. I missed beer so when I visited the US it was a pleasure to be able to have a beer. It compares well with bud light and Michelob Ultra so I was pleased. Going to a BBQ or a pizza with friends, there feels like something is missing without an ice cold beer. I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the beer and it made me feel quite decadent on holiday. I think that many men and women have to watch their calorie and carbohydrate intake and Bud select 55 helped me feel like things were normal and I could partake in things where having a couple of beers is normal ( and usuallly sorely missed) made me feel like life was good and enjoyable. It's often the little things that make a diffference. This little thing made things feel normal to me. It'l probably do the same for men and women who enjoy a beer and have to sacrifice it for the sake of calorie intake or weight management. I'm just a tourist who had the good fortune to discover it on my holiday to the US and it made the holiday feel like a proper holiday for me. I am writing this quite spontaneously and have no links whatsoever with the beer industry. Just sending out a meassage to all you beer lovers frustrated with having to sacrifice an ice cold beer when you fancy. cheers everyone.

Re: How Depressing… Bud Select 55 Calorie Beer

I have tried MGD 64 and it tastes awful, I can't imagine how much worse 9 less calories tastes.

Re: How Depressing… Bud Select 55 Calorie Beer

I really like Bud 55. Refreshing and it doesn't leave a nasty aftertaste in your mouth. It is not the beer to drink if you are trying to get drunk or buzzed, but if you want something light to quench your thirst, this is it! I tried Miller 64 but didn't like the taste even though I usually drink Miller Lite over Bud Light. This beer is great with food too.

Re: How Depressing… Bud Select 55 Calorie Beer

actually I really like Bud 55. Had to get used to it. Very light but has a good taste and doesn't leave a nasty aftertaste. Refreshing. It is not the beer to drink if you are just trying to get drunk...but if you want a a nice change of pace and want to be able to drive home this may be for you. Goes great with food too.

Re: Bud Select 55 Gets Reviewed

I dont drink too often, but when I do it's alot. a typical night for me is about 5 or 6 shots of whiskey and a 12 pack of mich ultra (95 cals). When I drink select i have to drink almost 24 beers (55 cals). plus the I drink more whiskey because I dont get as tipsy drinking the beer. I calculated that I actually intake more calories while drinking the select than i do when i drink michelob ultra. Plus i spend more money drinking select. In my opinion it is not worth it at all to drink select. Do the math people you spend more money to drink more calories in the long run.

Re: How Depressing… Bud Select 55 Calorie Beer

good for diabetic folks "low carb" its all about the carbs..

Re: How to drink more alcohol and lose weight

I drink everyday bud light now I'm gaining weight I dont over eat and my job is all day on my feet. You say to drink regular beer instead of light beer because it has more alcohol content...Well, it also has more calories. In fact, by drinking MGD 64 you get more alcohol per calorie and thus drunk more efficiently. This also works with your point on drinking more water, mgd 64 has more water.

Two years in a row you were the beverage of choice at my Christmas party. Two years in a row my wife and I were cleaning food out of the cracks of our hard wood floors when you caused grown men to be sick.

Oh Sailor Jerry how I missed you when my Brother in Law found you this winter and drank the last of you. Oh Sailor Jerry how over the course of the Summer I have heard your call as I drank my PBR or Boulevard. Oh Sailor Jerry fall has come and with it your spices and bouquet.

Oh Sailor Jerry you dirty dirty old man you will not be involved in Christmas this year...I'm saving you for New Years.
